I've always been captivated by the enchanting world of fairies and mermaids. It's a dream come true to bring these magical creatures to life through my handmade dolls. Each fairy and mermaid is crafted with love and attention to detail, using high-quality materials. I believe these whimsical creations can spark imagination and bring joy to people of all ages.
For as long a I can remember I have always loved arts and crafts. This passion coming from my Nana, who looked after me from a young age. We drew pictures of fairies and created drawings from feathers and leaves. She has always told me to keep an ear open for the sound of tiny fluttering wings and an eye out for little sparkles.
Fairies have always been a big part of my childhood. I have many memories of going on walks around the Lake District with my parents, always tasked with finding little fairy houses in the form of mushrooms, and tiny little pixie hats in the forms of acorns. Of cosying up before bed reading the amazing Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairy books and the Rainbow Magic Fairies.
Growing up, I have held my love for all things magical, fantasy and fairytale close. When I'm not crafting away I am likely reading, being whisked away into a fantasy story of magical lands, gallant heroes and wicked villains. I can often also be found snuggled under blankets watching enchanting Disney movies.
I started making flower fairies during the Covid-19 lockdown as a little craft project, and something to keep me busy, whilst I was furloughed. It all started when I found an old personal copy of Cicely Mary Bakers book of Flower Fairies and couldn’t stop thinking about having my own fairy doll. I had a quick google online to find instructions on making wire dolls, then head over to different craft websites to gather my materials; practically running to craft shops when the restrictions were lifted to buy supplies (and other things I didn't necessarily need 🙈)
Mostly, I have been making these posable flower fairies out of pure enjoyment and something to do to keep me busy with a few being gifted to family and friends. After much convincing and persuading from family and friends I have decided to share them with the rest of the world, because everyone deserves a little magic in their life.
Starting this little business has been such a big learning opportunity for me, and I have loved every minute.
